Spirit Airlines Starts New Service

Fort Lauderdale’s hometown ultra-low-cost-carrier Spirit Airlines has begun daily non-stop service between Fort Lauderdale and Columbia, SC. Spirit is celebrating the new service with $9 introductory fares booked at www.spiritair.com.  Every day fares from $87 are also available online.

"In addition to non-stop service to our Fort Lauderdale gateway, this new service will provide the ideal opportunity for travelers to connect to over 20 destinations in the United States, Caribbean and Latin America," said Mark Kopczak, Spirit’s senior director of network planning.
