Princess Cruises' "Love Boat" Arrives in Fort Lauderdale

Princess Cruises welcomed the Ruby Princess, its newest member of the fleet, into Fort Lauderdale, FL on Monday. The ship will launch romantic-themed festivities, including its naming by Trista and Ryan Sutter of "The Bachelorette" in honor of their fifth wedding anniversary. A separate couple will also be married during the naming ceremony, as "Love Boat" captain Gavin MacLeod gives away the bride.

A Ruby Red Tie gala will follow the naming of the new ship, as will a two-night preview cruise for hundreds of VIP guests. Ruby Princess returns to Port Everglades, FL November 8 for its inaugural seven-day sailing to the Western Caribbean.

The 3,080-passenger ship includes a piazza-style atrium that includes small-bite eateries, he signature Sabatini's Italian restaurant and the Crown Grill steak house, a relaxing oasis just for adults called The Sanctuary, and a changing line-up of street performers. The new ship will also feature the Movies Under the Stars poolside movie screen, Personal Choice Dining, several entertainment venues, a relaxing Asian-style Lotus Spa with fitness center, an extensive children and teen's center, and a wedding chapel.
